Statements from the Client Information Bank Register (the CIBR)

Would you like to know which information about you is being kept in the CIBR?

All you have to do is to fill in a Request for a CIBR statement and deliver it to our address as follows:

  • Personally – if you come in with your request for a statement personally, do not forget to bring your valid proof of identity (preferably an identity card).
  • By post – if you send a request for a statement by post and you have a foreign nationality, your signature on the request must be certified. The statement will be sent back by secured post and only to an address in the Czech and Slovak Republic.
  • By e-mail – it is also the possible to apply for the statement by e-mail at: klient@cbcb.cz. The Client Center of the CIBR can accept an electronic application for the Statement if it is signed with your certified electronic signature and approved by a qualified certificate issued by an accredited provider of certification services. Specific information about the assigned accreditation can be found at: http://www.mvcr.cz/mvcren/.

We do not accept requests for statements for information from the CIBR sent via data box at this time. If you have an electronic signature for your data box which fulfils the requirements mentioned above you can send the Request via e-mail.

Requests for the correction of inaccurate or incorrect personal data in the Client Information Bank Register

Have you found that the information kept about you in the CIBR is incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete?

Please contact us with a completed request for the correction of inaccurate or incorrect information and deliver it as follows:

  • personally (do not forget your valid proof of identity)
  • by post (if you have a foreign nationality, signature on this application must be officially certified)
  • by e-mail at klient@cbcb.cz (the request has to be signed with your qualified certificate and we also recommend encrypting the message using the public certificate of the Client Center. The public certificate of the Client Center can be found here).

After you have notified us about the existence of incorrect or inaccurate information in the CIBR we will correct it in cooperation with the relevant banks as soon as possible. In case it is not possible to correct the information, this incorrect or inaccurate information will be deleted without delay. If we do not send you any information about the result of the investigation of the mistake within 30 days from when we receive your request for correction, you can assume that your request has been resolved to your satisfaction. 

Pursuant to Act No. 634/1992 Coll., Consumer Protection Act, as amended, we would like to inform you that the institution in charge of out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, having its registered office at Štěpánská 657/15, 120 00 Praha 2 (www.coi.cz).


Who can request a services at the Client center

A natural person, fully aged and eligible to legal actions . If any of these conditions are not met then the request can not be accepted. We require a valid identity card or passport as proof of identity. Foreigners must prove their identity with a valid passport or with a permanent residency permit for the Czech Republic.

A natural person can be substituted in requesting services and all other relevant activities of the Client Center via another person who has a legally verified letter of attorney (template here). The same proof of identity is required from a substitute as from a natural person. If the applicant is a legal representative of the client, an official document that proves this is required.
