Key features of the Client Information bank register (the CIBR):

  • CBCB - Czech Banking Credit Bureau, a.s. is the operator of the CIBR. It is owned by five founding banks.
  • The whole project had often been consulted with the Office for Personal Data Protection as well as with the Czech National Bank and we can then be sure that it is consistent with all legal rules practiced in our country.
  • The information system EURISCZECH is operated and owned by Italian company CRIF.
  • The private network is used for the internal communication inside the EURISCZECH system.
  • All banks or branches of foreign banks operating on the Czech market can become participants of the CIBR if they are neither under the forced administration nor in liquidation.
  • Information data-base is formed by positive and negative information about credibility and payment prospects of clients.
  • The CIBR contains data on contractual (loan) relations between banks and their clients.
  • Information is regularly once in a month updated and maintained for the needs of mutual information exchange between banks throughout the duration of the contractual relation between a bank and its client and for a period of further 4 years following the expiration thereof.
